Broadway Of The Bronx: A Juan Man Show
Broadway Of The Bronx: A Juan Man Show is about Angel, a street hustler and tour guide, who discovers his long-time girlfriend, Vanessa, is pregnant. After an argument sends her out the door, he goes on a neighborhood search to win her back, asking help from best friend Mikey, her best friend Jophiel, her father Rafael, his mother Raziel and his father Uriel – all while bringing along his tour.
The project began with a mini-grant part of Rattlestick Theater’s Block-by-Block Artist Investigation Project, led by Cusi Cram and Daniella Toppel. Performed on-site at The Hub, The Bronx.
Awarded the inaugural Bronx Council on the Art’s Bronx Cultural Visions Fund Production Grant and produced for a one-night only workshop production, directed by Cándido Tirado with dramaturgy by Carmen Rivera and Pandora Scooter and The American Theater Group PlayLab.

Selected and awarded the City Artist Corps Grant, partnering with New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA), with support from the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) as well as Queens Theatre.

In Death Valley Desert, salty Luis embodies the angry people in his life who have left behind negative thoughts in his mind, in hopes of ridding them, to find his own voice, and yet, when he’s finally able to speak for himself, what will he say?
This mini-solo show was selected and won Third Place winner for the 2024 Downtown Urban Arts Festival.
